Faculty Members Honored by the American Chemical Society
Three faculty members will be honored by the American Chemical Society at a series of receptions this week as part of the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society, which is held in Raleigh Nov. 14 to 17.
Christine S. Grant, associate dean of faculty development and special initiatives in the College of Engineering, won the ACS Stanley C. Israel Award for advancing diversity in the chemical sciences for the Southeastern region. Grant will receive her award at the SERMACS Awards Reception from 6 to 9 p.m.Friday, Nov. 16at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences.
Laura Sremaniak、教学Depar副教授tment of Chemistry, will receive the Marcus E. Hobbs Award at the SERMACS Welcome Reception and NC-ACS Local Section Conference from 5 to 9 p.m.Wednesday, Nov. 14.
Christian Melander, associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and co-founder of Agile Sciences, will receive the SERMACS Industrial Innovation Award at the award luncheon at the Raleigh Convention Center from noon to 1:30 p.m.Friday, Nov. 17。读more.
