Last week, NC State welcomed nearly 4,900 new first-year students and more than 1,300 transfer students to campus. These students make up thelargest and most academically successfulincoming class in the university’s history.
Awaiting the new arrivals was Wolfpack Welcome Week, a campuswide celebration of all things NC State. Events included RecFest;convocation in Reynolds Coliseumon Aug. 20;Respect the Pack; the first day of classes on Aug. 22; andPackapalooza, NC State’s annual block party on Hillsborough Street.
The NC State community took part in almost100 eventsacross the university from Aug. 17-25.
